Strategic Plans can range from complete business plans for a business venture including pro forma financial statements and the basic information that an investor needs to evaluate a business to basic internal plans to implement a specific strategy. I have experience writing the full range of plans, and I can develop the financial projections for the strategy as well as the text.
A good strategic plan must start with a clearly stated goal that the strategy is based on. That goal could be to form a new business, add a new product or service within an existing business, or to implement a specific new idea within a business. Whatever the basis of the strategic plan is, the plan should start by clearly identifying the goal and describing why this goal is of value to the organization. Once this is done, the strategy needs to describe the key steps that will be taken to achieve the goal. The plan should describe the steps to be taken as well as milestones and metrics that management can use during the implementation of the strategy to measure its success.
I have written many different strategic plans in my career. However, due to the proprietary nature of strategic plans, I am not able to publish any in my portfolio. As a result, I have included some invented strategic planning documents, as you can see below:
